Religion is man’s attempt to explain God.
Every human being needs to believe in something. Every human being is spiritual.
But if God is made with man’s hands…as in idols..it is not a god. It is man made.God is not man made.He simply is.There is only One God and He reveals Himself to mankind,if they seek Him.
Christianity gives definition for God and explains WHO HE IS and what HE Thinks and feels.Christianity says…God is Love.Christianity says,he is not made with mens hands.He was and is and is to come.He is eternal.
So,having side tracked from the original question…I return to it,now.
Religion is man’s attempt to understand and explain God.
